Topic
Christ and the Trinity
The biblical and historical case that Jesus is God, the Spirit is personal, and the Trinity is Christian monotheism.
The central question
Most objections in this area ask whether Christian worship of Jesus and confession of the Spirit can remain faithful to one God. Start with biblical monotheism, then ask whether the New Testament identifies Jesus and the Spirit within God’s own name, works, honor, and presence.
Distinguish the objections
Muslim objections often focus on shirk and sonship language, Jehovah’s Witness objections often focus on created-son readings and translation claims, and Jewish objections often focus on whether incarnation violates the Hebrew Bible’s monotheism. The answer should meet the specific claim without flattening these differences.
