Objection

The Holy Spirit Is Not a Person

The Holy Spirit is not a person but Jehovah's active force.

The New Testament describes the Holy Spirit with personal actions and divine treatment: he teaches, reminds, can be lied to, and is named with the Father and the Son.

Use the Bible's verbs

Jesus says the Spirit will teach and remind the disciples. Peter says Ananias lied to the Holy Spirit and then says he lied to God.

Do not reduce agency to power

God's power is real, but the passages at issue describe the Spirit with personal agency rather than as an impersonal force.
